In a future where humanity has conquered death, disease, and suffering, a select few known as Scythes are tasked with ending lives to control the population. Two teenagers, Citra and Rowan, are unwillingly chosen to apprentice under a Scythe, forced to learn the "art of killing" while grappling with the moral complexities of their world. As they train, they discover that even a perfect society demands a terrible price, and their apprenticeship becomes a dangerous game of survival.
